ROAD TRAFFIC ACT -Display Of Registration Number

(1) The registration number assigned to a motor vehicle on the registration thereof, or a new registration number assigned under section 11 shall, unless otherwise provided, be displayed and illuminated on such motor vehicle in such manner as may be prescribed by rules made under this Part. No other letter or figure and no design, ornament, fixture or addition shall be placed on a motor vehicle in such a position or in such a manner-
(a) as to be likely to confuse or deceive; or

b) as to render it more difficult to read or distinguish such number when the vehicle is in motion.
 
The words "..no other letter or figure and no design...." means what it says.  So when you put a picture of  Mother Mary,Jesus, Moses,Buddha or Lord Krishna blowing on his flute with his famous pose you are in violation of the law.

(4) .. the fine is affordable. Only  RM300/=.     It is compoundable- no prison term.  Have a safe drive,
