POOR PERSONS ORDER 9(A) SCR 1980

ORDER 9(A) SUBORDINATE COURTS RULES 1980

1(1) Any person, who desires to commence or defend any action or other proceedings in his own right,    
         and is unable to pay the Courts fees thereof, may apply to the Court for leave to
         sue or defend as a poor person.
  (2) application is done in Form 18A or Form 18 b.

Well  folks, if any person cannot afford to retain a lawyer, he/she can conduct their own case in Court. However on that day, you are expected to bring your prepared file to Court and not your family, relatives and friends.
