INHERITANCE (FAMILY PROVISION) ACT 1971

S2- INTERPRETATION
"will" includes codicil - a codicil is a correction or a later addition of other assets in the deceaseds  will.If the codicil is an amendment by hand, then it has to be countersigned besides every amendment. This is so because the deceased is at liberty to change his mind regarding his assets or other assets are available  now which the deceased did not possess when he made the original will. Best Regards- Vijay
